HOW THE TIM DYDE FUND CAN HELP YOU

Hi everyone, I’m jack I have right side Erb’s Palsy and phrenic Palsy. I have virtually no use of my arm or shoulder and absolutely no use of my hand and fingers. I’m 21 and just left University where I studied Music Production for film and TV.

I’m very proud to say I was awarded a First class Honours degree ! I’m also a musician and have played French Horn since primary school to grade eight, where I achieved a distinction. The French Horn is an excellent instrument to play with right side Erb’s. I played in school orchestras and joined a local Music college . After leaving sixth form  I joined an adult orchestra called the Eynsford Concert Band in Kent.

Earlier this summer we were invited to take part in the European championships for wind orchestras in Utrecht in the Netherlands. This involved staying overnight in a hotel and traveling in a coach together with the rest of the band. Our performance was streamed live on Utube at the time so family back home could watch!  We didn’t win unfortunately but it was a great experience to take part. I applied to the Erb’s palsy group to see if the Tim Dyde Memorial Fund could help me with the cost of my trip to Utrecht, and I’m very grateful to tell you all they said yes! And sent me a cheque for £170 !

So if you need help with a something similar contact them and tell them your plans and see if they can help ! Thank you again for all your help
